BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - No injuries were reported at 3:22 p.m. Friday after a vehicle struck a mailbox in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Saturday, no injuries were reported at 10:27 p.m. after Kyle L. McNett, 30, Monroe, struck a curb in the 1100 block of 25th Avenue. McNett was arrested for driving while intoxicated (third offense) and on two counts of bail jumping and was cited for driving with a revoked license. McNett was jailed.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported at 12:13 a.m. after Joshua D. Pontius, 27, Freeport, rolled his vehicle at the intersection of West 7th Street and Youth Cabin Road. Pontius was arrested for driving while intoxicated (first offense) and was cited for driving too fast for road conditions, driving at an unreasonable speed and with a prohibited blood alcohol concentration. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 5:30 p.m. after a hit-and-run collision in the 1000 block of 17th Avenue. Jillian R. Thomas, 36, Darlington, and Luke S. Smetters, 34, Monroe, were arrested for driving while intoxicated (first offense). Thomas was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood alcohol concentration and committing a hit-and-run. Both were released pending court.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported at 10:45 p.m. after Joshua S. Burdelik, 21, New Lenox, Illinois, slid into a ditch on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 11:14 p.m. after Daniel L. Austin, 59, Darlington, slid into a ditch on East School Street in Blanchardville. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
