Monroe Police

MONROE - On Monday:

• Sara J. Scace, 26, Monroe, was cited for unsafe backing at 7:21 a.m. after she hit a parked car in the 2500 block of 12th Street. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

• Nola Haldiman, 64, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign at 4:11 p.m. after hitting a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Monroe man on 4th Avenue West at 101â"2 Street.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Monday:

• Robert J. Witt, 41, Monroe, reported hitting a deer at 5:08 a.m. in the N7700 block of Wisconsin 69 in the Town of New Glarus. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• Four people were involved in a two-vehicle crash at 4:25 p.m. in the N3100 block of Wis. 81 in the Town of Monroe. While trying to make a U-turn, Richard E. Day, 82, Berkley Springs, West Virginia, collided with Kari A. Hofer, 29, Monroe. Day's passenger, Vanda V. Alekna, 83, Downer's Grove, Illinois, and Hofer's passenger, Anthony R. Reynolds, 31, Monroe, reported injuries but declined immediate medical attention. Day's vehicle sustained severe damage and Hofer's vehicle sustained moderate damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• Lori A. Rodefeld, 38, New Glarus, reported hitting a deer at 8:07 a.m. in the N5300 block of Wis. 69 in the Town of Washington. No injuries were reported. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Dennis E. Yokers, 64, Newnan, Ga., reported hitting a dog that ran into the roadway at 1:44 p.m. on Wis. 69 near Washington Road in the Town of Washington. The dog died and its owners were notified. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Adam L. Scace, 24, Monticello, was in a one-vehicle crash at 3:35 p.m. in the W6600 block of County C in the Town of Washington. He was driving a tractor and a tire malfunctioned, causing Scace to lose control and go into a ditch. No injuries were reported. The tractor sustained moderate damage and was removed by the operator.

• Brian W. Jozefowicz, 37, Brodhead, reported hitting a deer at 9:42 p.m. in the N7500 block of Wis. 69 in the Town of New Glarus. No injuries were reported. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Michael M. Makowski, 45, Ixonia, and a passenger were injured in a one-vehicle motorcycle crash at 1:35 p.m. Saturday in the N7500 block of County N in the Town of New Glarus. Makowski reportedly lost control while negotiating a curve and the motorcycle flipped. Med Flight, New Glarus EMS and the New Glarus Fire Department responded. Neither Makowski nor the passenger was wearing a helmet. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Police responded at 3:42 p.m. Saturday to a report of a motor vehicle accident on East Peace Street in Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained damage.
