Green County Sheriff

MONROE - A deer collided with a vehicle driven by Karen L. Bartelt, 40, rural Brooklyn, at about 9:45 a.m. Monday on Mortensen Road, near Wisconsin 92, in the Town of Brooklyn. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 69 north of Highland Drive in New Glarus township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Anna M. Castro, 20, Monroe, braked to avoid a vehicle in front of it and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Sharon L. Daley, 39, Monticello.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday on Old Madison Road north of County O in New Glarus township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jeffrey R. Tway, 46, New Glarus, swerved to avoid a deer and hit a guardrail fence. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Adam R. Kopp, 34, Albany, collided with a deer at about 1:45 p.m. Sunday on County E near Peckham Road in Albany township. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Connie R. Anderson, 52, Monticello, collided with a deer at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday on County EE near Trumpy Road in Mount Pleasant township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Hillside Road in New Diggings township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Suzanne Farrey, 49, Shullsburg, was stopped in the roadway where a large tree was across the road. Her vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Ardith Carl, 34, Cuba City. Benton First Responders and the Cuba City Rescue Squad responded to the scene for injuries. Carl was arrested for drunken driving. He was released pending court. Farrey was cited for non-registration of a vehicle. The vehicles were towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4 p.m. Saturday on County D in South Wayne. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Mitchel Brown, 48, Monroe, was stopped at a stop sign and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Robert Hull, 17, South Wayne.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday on Meier Road in Wayne township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Patsy Nordmeyer, 55, Browntown, left the road and hit some trees and then a building. No further information was available.
