MONROE - On Thursday

• No injuries were reported at 6:39 a.m. when deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 11 at County M in the Town of Cadiz. Shirley A. Tullis, 57, Monroe, was traveling west on Wis. 11 when a vehicle driven by Kyle V. Priebe, 19, Browntown, failed to yield the right of way from County M and hit Tullis' vehicle. Tullis' vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Priebe's vehicle received severe rear driver's side damage and was towed from the scene. Priebe was cited for failing to yield the right of way from a stop and was released.

• Injuries were reported at 11:09 p.m. when deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Wis. 39 and County 78 in the Town of York for a vehicle-accident. Heather M. Sternitzky, 35, Granton, was traveling southbound on Wis. 78 when she failed to stop at intersection with Wis. 39. Sternitzky continued southbound through the "T" intersection, into a ditch and hit the embankment. Sternitzky and her passenger, Jennifer L. Vandeberg, 42, Granton, both suffered injuries but declined medical attention at the scene. Air bags did deploy. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

On Friday:

• No injuries were reported at 2:39 a.m. following a car vs. deer collision on Wis. 59, near County S, in the Town of Sylvester. James J. Placek, 46, Monroe, was traveling west when a deer hit the front of his vehicle. Placek's vehicle received moderate damage to the front bumper and hood and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in an ATV accident at 4:36 p.m. Thursday on County P in Gratiot Township. Thomas O. Brines, 70, Shullsburg, was working on his ATV when the throttle got stuck while Brines was on the ATV. The ATV hit the corner of an unoccupied truck, throwing Brines off the vehicle. Gratiot Fire Department, Gratiot First Response, and Rural Medical Ambulance assisted at the scene.
