Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Deputies report Robert Richard Riese, 68, Brodhead, collided with a deer at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the W4900 block of Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Monroe. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of 16th Avenue. Police report Alberto Acevedo, 23, Monroe, struck a vehicle operated by Chelsea M. Nolter, 26, Monroe. Acevedo was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration, first offense, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license, fourth offense. The vehicles received minor damages. Acevedo was jailed.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 8th Street and 1st Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Christine R. Matson, 29, Albany, struck a vehicle driven by Keith A. Rothenbuehler, 61, Monroe. Both vehicles received moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Matson was cited for violation of a traffic control signal and inattentive driving.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured when a motorcycle collided with a deer on County KK in Gratiot township. Jason D. Hintz, 40, Lena, Ill., reported hitting the deer at about 4:15 a.m. Wednesday. Hintz continued to Monroe before seeking medical attention for injuries he received. The accident remains under investigation.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday on Wisconsin 78 in Wiota township. Deputies report Janet M. Fox, 46, Gratiot, was northbound on Wisconsin 78 and turned left onto County M without yielding to southbound vehicle driven by Kristine A. Gabiond, 46, Blanchardville. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Gabiond's vehicle was towed. Fox was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
