Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 2:30 p.m. Monday at 15th Avenue and 9th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Ronald E. Starmer, 54, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Krisarah A. Gilbertson, 27, Monroe. Starmer was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4:15 p.m. Monday on Wisconsin 11 at Carnie Lane. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Cody A. Hermanson, 20, Monroe, was stopped to make a left turn and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Keeferalexander J. Kallembach, 17, South Wayne. Kallembach was taken to the Monroe Clinic by Green County Emergency Medical Services. Hermanson declined treatment at the scene. The vehicles received extensive damage and were towed. The Monroe Police Department and Monroe Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident at about 2:30 p.m. Monday on the Cheese Country Trail. Deputies report Noah S. Murray, 32, Brodhead, was driving an ATV when he came to a dirt/gravel pile on the trail. He decided to jump the pile with the ATV. As he landed, the ATV shifted and Murray was thrown. He was taken to the Monroe Clinic. Murray was cited for careless operation of an ATV. The ATV received minor damage.

• No one was injured when a truck hit a horse and a hay bailer at about 6:30 p.m. Monday on Prairie Road in Kendall township. Deputies report a truck driven by Dean D. Paulson, 32, Belmont, was pulling a truck pulling a trailer loaded with hay bales when the truck crested a hill and saw four horses and a hay bailer driven by Henry F. Stoltzfus, 44, Belmont. Paulson was unable to stop and hit the hay bailer and one of the four horses.
