Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4 p.m. Thursday in the N8800 block of County CC in Exeter township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jesse W. Bodenmann, 16, New Glarus, stopped for a cat in the road and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Madison A. Hawley, 16, New Glarus. Bodenmann's vehicle received moderate damage. Hawley's vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Hawley was cited for following too close. Bodenmann was cited for not having proof of insurance.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday on County K in Darlington township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Luis Martinez, 24, Shullsburg, tried to avoid an oncoming vehicle, crossed the road, went into a field and overturned. Martinez and his passengers, Rose Alvearez, 24, Gratiot, and Ashley Paredes, 3, Shullsburg, were taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for injuries. Martinez was cited for driving without a license and driving without insurance. His vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:45 a.m. Thursday on County N in Argyle township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Corey L. Gierhart, 18, Argyle, left the road, went down an embankment and into a creek after the steering malfunctioned. His vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.
