MONROE - No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on Ullom Road, south of Smock Valley Road, in the Town of Jordan at 8:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Kristin E. Rupnow, 22, Browntown, failed to negotiate a curve, slid off the road and hit several small trees. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and Wittenwyler Road at 8:27 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Derek J. Gilbertson, 17, Monticello, tried to stop at a stop sign but couldn't due to snow on the road and hit a vehicle driven by Dale P. Kratzenberg, 77, New Glarus. Gilbertson's vehicle was moderately damaged, and Kratzenberg's vehicle was severely damaged. Both were towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on Hiawatha Road south of Falk Road at 8:36 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Gregory R. Jelle, 34, Monroe, lost control of his vehicle on the slippery road, veered into the ditch and hit some small trees. The vehicle sustained minor damage. After a tow truck pulled it out of the ditch, it was driven from the scene.

- Charlissa L. Segner, 54, Browntown, and her passenger, Melissa J. Collins, 27, Browntown, declined medical treatment for injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of West River Road and Fox Valley Road reported at 9:47 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Segner slid off the road and hit a tree. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 39 near Durst Road at 10:06 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Hallie R. Weintraub, 19, Olympia, Wash., lost control of her vehicle on the snowy road and collided with a mailbox. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on County G near Shanghai Road at 1:52 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Bryce C. Zettle, 17, Juda, lost control of his vehicle on the slippery road and hit a stop sign. The stop sign sustained minor damage, and the vehicle was not damaged.

- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident in the N9000 block of County D in the Town of Exeter at 2:59 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Turk D. Olson, 50, New Glarus, swerved to miss a vehicle backing out of a driveway and collided with a utility pole. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene. The incident is under investigation.

- No injuries were reported in one-vehicle accident in the W5800 block of Wis. 11/69/81 at 6:26 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, after Charles P. Guidry, 58, Evansville, lost control of his vehicle, swerved and then overcorrected, hitting a traffic sign post. The post sustained minor damage, and the vehicle was moderately damaged. After his vehicle was pulled out of the ditch, Guidry was able to drive from the scene.

- No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision in the N4700 block of Jordan Center Road in the Town of Jordan at 2:37 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, after Samuel R. Jorgenson, 19, Monroe, lost control on a curve while driving southbound and hit a northbound vehicle driven by Ronald L. Raymond, 43, Blanchardville. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

- A passenger in a two-vehicle crash, Melissa R. Wurster, 40, Freeport, was injured but declined medical treatment after deputies responded at 11:39 Friday, Jan. 13, to the scene of the accident on Wis. 69 near County C in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Investigation revealed Stanley V. Wurster, 67, Elizabeth, Ill., stopped for a turning vehicle and was rear-ended by Sara C. Kelter, 25, Monroe. No other injuries were reported. Wurster's vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene. Kelter's vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

- Laurie J. LaBarre, 48, Brodhead, reported no injuries at 5:56 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, after she lost control of her vehicle on an icy, snow-covered curve in the N2600 block of Brodhead Airport Road in the Town of Spring Grove and veered into the ditch, hitting some small trees. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A semi stalled from the cold weather on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Gratiot at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, and could not be moved until a tow truck arrived. Deputies assisted with traffic control.

- A semi slid off the road and needed to be pulled from the ditch at 10:04 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, on Wisconsin 78 in the Town of Gratiot. A deputy assisted with traffic control until it could be removed. No damage or injuries were reported.
