Traffic Accidents: Jan. 29, 2008

Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Theresa J. Heller, 49, Brodhead, was arrested for inattentive driving and failure to notify police of an accident following a traffic accident around 2:30 a.m. Jan. 20 in the 1400 block of First Center Avenue. She was released pending court.

• Troy A. Hartz, 46, Bettendorf, Iowa, was cited for inattentive driving following a traffic accident around 9:45 a.m. Jan. 21 in the 1600 block of West Third Avenue. He was released pending court.

• Jennifer J. Naramore, 34, Brodhead, was cited for unsafe backing of a vehicle following a traffic accident around 5:45 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of West Seventh Avenue. She was released pending court.

Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 10 a.m. Monday at 12th Avenue and 13th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Gerald L. Brown, 34, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Todd R. Johnson, 38, Monroe. Both vehicles received moderate damage. The crash remains under investigation.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 10:15 a.m. Jan. 22 at Durst Road and 10th Avenue. Police report a New Glarus Public Works snow plow driven by Phillip C. Cox, 61, New Glarus, hit a vehicle driven by Eugene R. Saunders, 79, New Glarus. Saunders' vehicle received minor damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 4:15 p.m. Jan. 20. Police report a vehicle pulling a trailer driven by Hans F. Schmidt, 19, Monroe, attempted to pass a vehicle and slid into an embankment and went into a ditch. The truck and trailer sustained moderate damage.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 1 p.m. Monday in the W3100 block of High School Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Charles A. Kundert, 80, Juda, moved to the right to miss oncoming traffic and hit a tree. The vehicle received minor damage.

• A vehicle driven by Jayson S. Edmunds, 35, Monticello, hit a deer around 5:15 a.m. Monday in the N7400 block of Wisconsin 69. The vehicle received extensive damage.
