Roger S. Ward, 47, Monroe, was cited for unsafe backing following a two-vehicle accident around 8 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of 30 1/2 Avenue. Police report War's vehicle hit a vehicle driven by Helen B. Cotherman, 68, Monroe. Both vehicles received minor to moderate damage.
Police are investigating a hit and run one-vehicle accident which occurred around 2 a.m. Friday at Eighth Street and 10th Avenue. Police report a vehicle registered to Robert A. Lee, 21, Monroe, hit several street signs and got stuck on top of a snow bank. The driver fled the scene. The vehicle received moderate damage.

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 5:45 p.m. Friday on Wis. 104 in Brooklyn township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Linda L. Weber, 53, Blanchardville, slid off the road, across a private driveway and into a ditch. Weber sustained non-life threatening injuries and didn't seek medical attention at the scene. The vehicle received minor damage.
One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 2:45 p.m. Friday on Wis. 104 south of Atkinson road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Kari A. Hamele, 32, Evansville, slid off the road and hit a fence. A six-month-old passenger in the vehicle, Ivan J. Hamele, sustained minor injuries. No medical attention was sought at the scene. The vehicle received minor damage.
No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 8:45 a.m. Friday on North Rutland Avenue and Wis. 92 in Brooklyn. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Donald R. Moore, 20, Madison, was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Kenneth J. Joyce, 61, Brodhead. Joyce's vehicle received moderate damage.

Showers, 39, New Glarus, was attempting to pass a vehicle driven by Kurt M. Fuchs, 47, Monroe, on the right when it slid into Fuchs' vehicle. Fuchs' vehicle received extensive damage and Showers' vehicle received minor damage. Showers was cited for imprudent speed and released pending court.
No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 10:30 a.m. Friday on Mill Road near Town Center Road in Spring Grove township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Benjamin E. Knorr, 28, Janesville, was coming out of a driveway and couldn't stop due to snow and ice on the driveway. The vehicle went off the road and overturned on its side. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.
No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 2 p.m. Friday on Statz Road near Ladwig Road in Sylvester township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by George W. Deem, 50, Monroe, failed to negotiate a curve, slid off the road and hit a tree. The vehicle received minor damage.

Erickson, 27, Argyle, was pulling out of a business parking lot and hit a vehicle driven by Amy J. Myers, 22, Monroe. Myers' vehicle received moderate damage and Erickson's truck received minor damage. The case remains under investigation.

Aaron C. Fitzsimons, 21, Darlington, was arrested for drunken driving after a deputy responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch around 10 p.m. Saturday on County Z in Darlington township. He was released pending court.
Samantha J. Smith, 19, Monroe, was cited for underage drinking, transporting alcohol and failure to have control of her vehicle following a report of a vehicle in a ditch around 6:45 a.m. Friday on Jordan Wiota Road in Wiota township.
