BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - On Jan. 12, a non-reportable traffic crash occurred at 5:36 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Jan. 13, a hit-and run crash occurred at 3:04 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police are seeking a subject to question.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Friday, no injuries were reported at 5:54 a.m. after Mark A. Martell, 24, Monroe, struck a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and 21st Street. Martell was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

On Saturday, a 28-year-old Loganville truck driver was injured at 2:18 p.m. after his truck overturned on a Wis. 11 entrance ramp. The driver was transported to Monroe Clinic with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

On Sunday, minor injuries were reported at 5:53 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 7th Street and 16th Avenue. A 15-year-old Monroe girl struck a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Monroe woman. The 15-year-old was cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance and failure to stop for a stop sign. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Thursday, no injuries were reported at 10:57 p.m. after Amy J. Steiner, 38, Juda, lost control of her vehicle and entered a ditch in the N1200 block of County K, Town of Jefferson. Her vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Friday:

• No injuries were reported at 3:13 a.m. after Sarah J. Brink, 22, Cuba City, struck a deer on Wis. 39, Town of New Glarus. Her vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 6:24 a.m. after Sharon Marie Sandlin, 26, Monticello, lost control of her vehicle, entered a ditch and struck a fence post on County C, Town of Mount Pleasant. Her vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 4:53 p.m. after Dennis Pfingsten, 50, Juda, struck an unknown animal in the W3700 block of County F, Town of Mount Pleasant. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday, no injuries were reported at 1:35 p.m. after James D. Wellhausen, 29, Browntown, struck a deer in the N2200 block of County MM, Town of Cadiz. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Sunday, deputies investigated a suspicious person reported at 12:10 a.m. near the intersection of County W and Wis. 91, Town of Exeter. Deputies found an abandoned vehicle that had left the roadway, struck a sign and stopped in a field. The driver, Patrick P. McNamar, 44, Belleville, had fled the scene but was later found. McNamar was arrested for driving while intoxicated and for driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration. He was also cited for committing a hit-and-run accident, failure to maintain control of his vehicle, failure to notify police of an accident, keeping an open intoxicant in his vehicle and obstructing an officer. McNamar was released pending court.

On Monday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:20 a.m. after Linda M. Keppen, 51, Monticello, struck a deer in the W1300 block of County C, Town of Brooklyn. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 4:17 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision in the W100 block of Amidon Road, Town of Brooklyn. Benjamin M. Pawlowski, 22, Janesville, lost control of his vehicle and struck a vehicle driven by Donna J. Tofte, 52, Evansville, who was waiting at a stop sign. Pawlowski was cited for driving without a valid license, non-registration of a vehicle and failure to maintain control of his vehicle. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported at 7:16 a.m. after Kristopher A. Leitzinger, 17, Shullsburg, struck an animal on County U, Town of Shullsburg. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 7:22 a.m. after Jessica J. Donahoe, 44, Darlington, struck an animal on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 12:55 p.m. after Randall A. Berg, 50, Argyle, struck a deer on County A, Town of Argyle. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:50 p.m. after Emily J. Fox, 25, Darlington, struck a deer on Gun Club Road, Town of Darlington. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.

• Minor injuries were reported at 6:34 p.m. after Jack L. Fuchs, 51, South Wayne, struck a tree while swerving to avoid striking a deer on County M, Town of Darlington. Fuchs was transported to a local hospital with minor head injuries. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

On Sunday, no injuries were reported at 10:01 p.m. after Dylan R. Guthrie, 28, Albany, struck two mailboxes while swerving to avoid striking a deer on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

On Monday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:18 p.m. after Jennie R. Bowyer, 38, Janesville, struck a deer on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 6:10 p.m. after Gary Westemeier, 67, Shullsburg, struck a deer on County E, Town of Shullsburg. His vehicle sustained minor damage.
