New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - A hit-and-run crash with no injuries was reported in a parking lot in the 400 block of 6th Avenue at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, after an unknown vehicle backed into a legally-parked 2001 Buick Century. The incident is under investigation.

- A rear-end collision was reported at 1:56 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and 6th Avenue. The accident involved a 1994 Chevy truck driven by Ronald V. Strommen, 61, Blanchardville, and a 2009 Ford Escape driven by Joanne H. Rauch, 69, Belleville, and is still under investigation.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Laurie F. Pulvermacher, 49, Monticello, reported no injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Wis. 69 south of County H in the Town of New Glarus at 10:37 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, after she collided with a deer. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Dwayne N. Larson, 68, Darlington, reported no injuries at 6:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, after hitting a deer on County F in the Town of Willow Springs. His vehicle was moderately damaged.

- No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Willow Springs at 8:56 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, after Brian P. Steffes, 41, Mineral Point, reportedly rear-ended a vehicle driven by Benjamin R. Ritchie, 24, Darlington. Ritchie's Ford truck sustained minor damage, and Steffes' Dodge van was moderately damaged. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported at 7:06 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, after two vehicles struck a large piece of wood on U.S. 151 in the Town of Kendall that had apparently fallen from another vehicle. The first vehicle to hit the wood was driven by Dorothy A. Gullickson, 50, Dodgeville. The hit caused several flat tires, and Gullickson's vehicle was towed from the scene. The second vehicle to hit the wood was driven by Jodi M. Pluemer, 37, Verona. The hit caused only minor damage, and Pluemer was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. The Lafayette County Highway Department assisted with the cleanup of debris from the road.

- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident in the St. Philomena Cemetery off County G in the Town of Belmont at 7:25 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, after Janice K. Riechers, 51, accidentally backed into a cement pillar. The vehicle sustained minor damage, and Riechers drove it from the scene.
