Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday:

• Brittany A. McCarthy, 23, Davis, Ill., was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash in the N600 block of County T, Town of Spring Grove, at 11:30 p.m. McCarthy was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to snow on the roadway. The vehicle crossed the center line and hit the east guardrail. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in the N700 block of County S, Town of Jefferson. Jamie T. Schmid, 36, Dakota, Ill., was cited at 6:20 a.m. for driving too fast for conditions after his vehicle crossed the center line and hit southbound vehicle driven by Renelle D. Figi-Elmer, 55, Juda. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

• Amanda M. Hellenbrand, 37, Warren, Ill., was uninjured after a chunk of ice hit the front of her car in the N4800 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of Monroe, at 8:44 a.m. Hellenbrand told deputies she was northbound when a chunk of ice dislodged from a southbound semi and hit the front of her car, causing moderate damage. The semi was not located. Hellenbrand's car was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and County S, Town of Jefferson, at 3:21 p.m. Jared A. Haring, 16, Monroe, told deputies he was stopped at a stop sign on Main Street when he was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Shad J. Hanson, 17, Juda. Haring's vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene. Hanson's vehicle sustained minor front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

• Aaron P. Zimmerman, 39, Brodhead, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N8400 block of County E, Town of Brooklyn, at 6:07 p.m. Zimmerman was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:

• Lucas Risser, 29, Darlington, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on County F, Darlington Township, at 2:49 a.m.

• A deputy responded at 6:08 a.m. to a hit-and-run complaint on West Moundview Avenue, Village of Belmont.

• Clara Chambers, 16, Darlington, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash on Furnace Hill Road, Willow Springs Township, at 7:39 a.m. Chambers was southbound when her vehicle began to slide and entered the ditch hitting guide wires on a telephone pole. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene.

• Tianna Kelly, 17, Shullsburg, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on County E, Darlington Township, at 8:16 a.m. Kelly lost control of her vehicle in a curve and entered the ditch line. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene.

• Brad Burmeister, 38, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on County G, Argyle Township, at 9:13 p.m.
