Monroe Police

MONROE - Minor injuries were reported after a one-vehicle accident at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 in the N3100 block of Aebly Road. Monica K. Sefcik, 16, Monroe, slid off the roadway and hit a power pole. One person reported minor injuries but declined medical attention. There was severe damage to the vehicle and it was towed from the scene. Alliant Energy responded to the scene.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported after deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch at about 12:34 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 in the N1600 block of Honey Creek Road in the Town of Clarno. Carrie A. Stampfli, 36, Apple River, Ill., was driving southbound on Honey Creek Road when she lost control of her vehicle, entered the east ditch and was stuck in the snow. Stampfli was arrested for a first offense of operating while under the influence of intoxicants and was also cited for failing to have her vehicle under control. She was released. The vehicle had no damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported after a one-vehicle accident at about 12:54 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 on the westbound off ramp from the Wisconsin 11/69/81 to Wis. 69/81 - Argyle Interchange - in the Town of Monroe. Jeremy D. Artis, 20, Winslow, was westbound on the off ramp when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the north shoulder, hitting a traffic sign post. The collision caused moderate damage and it was towed from the scene. Artis was cited for a third offense of operating without a valid driver's license and was released.

- No injuries were reported after a one-vehicle accident at about 11:01 a.m. in the W5800 block of Durst Road in the Town of New Glarus. Erika R. Howell, 38, New Glarus, was driving eastbound on Durst Road when she left the roadway as a snowplow, traveling in the opposite direction, passed her. Howell hit a culvert and a trash bag, causing minor moderate damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported after a one-vehicle accident at about 1:09 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 in the N3900 block of County N, in the Town of Monroe. Stephen L. Messerli, 61, Monroe, was northbound on County N when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway and entered the ditch. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Messerli was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license. He was released.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported after a one-vehicle accident at 7:54 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 on Center Hill Road in the Town of Darlington. Lidia Yoslemes Flores-Flores, 32, Darlington, was turning off of Wis. 23, onto Center Hill Road, when she lost control on the slippery roads and hit a guide wire to a light pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Flores-Flores was cited for operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license or motor vehicle insurance.

- No injuries were reported after a one-vehicle accident at 8:37 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4 on County F in the Town of Fayette. Robert A. Lowrey, 60, Beloit, was traveling northbound while negotiation a curve and lost control, causing him to go over an embankment and hit a fence and a tree. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported after a vehicle vs. deer accident at 4:35 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 on Wis. 81 in the Town of Argyle. Phillip N. Cline, 56, Argyle, reported hitting a deer.

- No injuries were reported after a vehicle vs. deer accident at 6:35 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 on Godfrey Road in the Town of Willow Springs. Jessica E. Belanger, 34, Darlington, reported hitting a deer.

- No injuries were reported during a vehicle vs. deer accident at 7:58 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 on Old Q Road in the Town of Blanchard.
