Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 10 a.m. Saturday in the N9000 block of Old Madison Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Erica L. Thompson, 23, New Glarus, hit a mailbox when Thompson stepped on the brakes to see if the road was slippery. The vehicle received moderate damage.

n A vehicle driven by Carolyn M. Ruegsegger, 60, Blanchardville, hit a deer around 6:45 p.m. Friday in the W8400 block of Wisconsin 81. The vehicle received extensive damage.

n A vehicle driven by Roger A. Sutter, 48, Monroe, hit a deer around 6 p.m. Saturday in the N3600 block of Monroe-Sylvester Road. The vehicle received moderate damage.

n A vehicle driven by Michael F. Engessger, 23, Monroe, hit a deer around 11 p.m. Sunday on Wis. 81 and County T. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Patricia R. Gordon, 24, Shullsburg, was arrested for drunken driving and failure to have control of a vehicle following a one-vehicle accident around 12:15 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 23 in Darlington township. Deputies report her vehicle went across the road, down an embankment and overturned. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Gordon was released pending court.

n Michael J. Scheidegger, 45, Mineral Point, reported around 9 a.m. Friday that on Thursday his vehicle hit a patch of black ice and went into the ditch.

n A vehicle driven by William A. Frontzak, 58, Monticello, hit a deer around 11:45 p.m. Friday on County A in Argyle township.
