Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Christopher M. Valentino, 27, Monroe, was arrested for second-offense drunken driving following a one-vehicle accident at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the N2500 block of Richland Road in Sylvster township. Deputies report his vehicle went off the roads due to snow and ice on the roadway. The vehicle slid down an embankment and overturned. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday on County E near Schaller Road in Albany township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Deborah L. Bailey, 30, Albany, left the road, hit a mailbox and overturned after Bailey fell asleep. Bailey was cited for a seatbelt violation. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 9 a.m. Sunday on Steiner Road near Melvin Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jessica N. Leu, 16, Browntown, left the road and hit an embankment. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1:45 p.m. Sunday in a private driveway on Argue Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Kevin W. Waggoner, 50, New Glarus, backed into a parked vehicle owned by Keith J. LeFebve, 49, New Glarus, The vehicles received minor to moderate damage.

DARLINGTON - A vehicle driven by Thomas VanMatre, 51, Darlington, hit a deer at about 6:30 a.m. Friday on Lancaster Road in Darlington township.

• A vehicle driven by Alyssa Peifer, 17, Gratiot, hit a deer at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Riverside Road in Gratiot township.
