Monroe Police

MONROE - Sarah E. Baker, 33, Monroe, was cited at 8:07 a.m. Sunday for inattentive driving after her vehicle overturned from hitting a parked vehicle in the 2800 block of 13th Street. Chief Fred Kelley said Baker reported no injuries but had to be extricated from the vehicle due to the extensive damage. Both vehicles were severely damaged and were towed from the scene. The Monroe Fire Department assisted at the scene by extricating Baker.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Curtis J. Erdmann, 23, Monroe, a Green County deputy, was reported non life-threatening injuries after the squad car he was driving entered the ditch in the W8500 block of Puddle Dock Road, Town of Adams, at 4:12 p.m. Thursday. Erdmann was eastbound when he lost control of the squad due to the snow-covered roadway and entered the ditch hitting a fence and a fence post. The squad was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene. Blanchardville police responded to assist with the crash investigation.

• No injuries were reported in a hit-and-run crash involving two vehicles on Wis. 69 at Wuetrich Road Town of Clarno, at 5:20 p.m. Friday. Kirk A. King, 49, Machesney Park, Ill., was northbound on Wis. 69 and slowing to turn on Wuetrich Road when a dark-colored Ford Ranger pickup passed him on the right and hit the passenger side of his vehicle. The pickup then fled the scene. King's vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

• Maximilian S. Waller, 16, Monroe, and his passengers were uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the W5100 block of County FF, Town of Monroe, at 2:01 p.m. Saturday. Waller was eastbound and lost control of his vehicle in a curve and entered the ditch where the vehicle scuffed a power pole. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.

On Sunday:

• Adam Bass, 26, Juda, a Green County deputy, was uninjured in a deer vs. squad car crash that occurred on Wisconsin 81 east of Jordan Center Road, at 12:59 a.m. Bass was eastbound on Wis. 81 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the driver's-side door and front quarter panel. The squad car sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The deer was not located. Monroe police assisted in investigating the crash.

• Quin B. Anderson, 59, Woodford, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred on County MM west of Buckhorn Road, Town of Cadiz, at 9:08 p.m. Anderson was westbound on County MM when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the passenger side of his vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Myles P. Reichling, 21, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle at 11:55 a.m. Friday on Ferndale Road, Willow Springs Township.

• James A. Starr, 40, Argyle, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on County G, Argyle Township, at 12:27 a.m. Saturday.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Eric R. Winkelman, 17, New Glarus, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of 14th Avenue, at 4:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2. Winkelman reported he lost control of his vehicle and hit a ditch. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Police assisted a citizen whose vehicle was stuck in the ditch in the 600 block of 8th Street, at 6:04 p.m. Tuesday.
