Monroe Police

MONROE - Non-life-threatening injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident on West 10 1/2 Street and 4th Avenue West at 4:44 p.m. Friday. Megan A. Moyer, 22, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a second vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Freeport woman. Moyer reported minor injuries but declined treatment; she was cited for failure to yield right-of-way. Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed from the scene.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Friday:

• John B. Gentry Jr., 62, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the W6600 block of Wisconsin 11, Town of Monroe, at 2:22 a.m. Gentry was westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

• James P. Williams, 46, Brodhead, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the W2800 block of Smock Valley Road, Town of Jordan, at 5:25 a.m. Williams was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Non-life-threatening injuries were reported in a one-vehicle rollover accident in the N6400 block of County E, Town of Albany. Breanna C. Burger, 21, Albany, was southbound when she reportedly fell asleep while driving. The vehicle went into the west ditch and down an embankment causing the vehicle to roll over several times before coming to rest on its roof. Burger was transported by Albany EMS to Monroe Clinic Hospital for treatment of her injuries. She was cited at 5:47 a.m. for inattentive driving and released pending court. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene. Deputies and Albany Fire Department responded to the scene.

• Jay J. Christensen, 51, Belleville, and his passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred on Wis. 69 north of Monroe Road, Town of Monroe, at 7:30 p.m. Christensen was northbound on Wis. 69 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

• Jill S. Berg, 32, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. van crash that occurred on Wisconsin 69 south of County FF, Town of Monroe, at 7:42 p.m. Berg was northbound on Wis. 69 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her van. The van was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

• Non-life-threatening injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County J and County C, Town of Adams. Angel Mauricio Lopez-Sanches, 29, Argyle, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. for driving while intoxicated causing injury and cited for driving while revoked, driving without insurance, failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign and open intoxicants in a vehicle following the crash. Aron R.L. Thompson, 24, Argyle, was northbound on County J when a vehicle driven by Lopez-Sanches failed to yield right-of-way at County C and hit Thompson's vehicle. Thompson was transported by Argyle EMS to Monroe ER for treatment of his injuries. Lopez-Sanches reported no injuries. Both vehicles were severely damaged and were towed from the scene. Lopez-Sanches was released pending court.

On Saturday:

• Suzanne N. Leverich, 35, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred on Wis. 69 and County NN, New Glarus Township, at 2:18 a.m. Leverich was southbound on Wis. 69 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

• Duane L. Dunlavy, 55, Argyle, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred on Wisconsin 81 west of Trotter Road, Town of Adams, at 5:25 p.m. Dunlavy was westbound on Wis. 81 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

• Troy J. Nevil, 29, New Glarus, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the W8900 block of Argue Road, Town of New Glarus, at 7:17 p.m. Nevil was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Cassandra Smith, 46, Darlington, reported hitting a deer with her vehicle on Stuart Road, Wiota Township, at 1:31 a.m.

• Roger Volkening, 45, Darlington, reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on Lancaster Road, Lamont Township, at 6:58 a.m.

• Michele Bruehlman, 47, Argyle, reported hitting a deer with her vehicle on Wisconsin 78, Argyle Township, at 8:50 a.m.

• Douglas O'Brien, 31, Darlington reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on Wisconsin 23, Willow Springs Township, at 5:02 p.m.

On Sunday:

• Stanley Twait, 86, Ottawa, Ill., sustained minor injuries in a one-car accident on Wis. 81, Argyle Township. Twait was westbound when his car hit an embankment causing the car to vault into the air and land off the road. The car went down the embankment, through a wooded area and came to rest on a tree stump. Twait was transported via Rural Medical Ambulance to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Twait was reported as a missing and endangered person by the Ottawa Police Department. Darlington Fire Department assisted at the scene.

• A deputy responded to a complaint of a hit-and-run accident on West Main Street, Village of Benton, at 10:18 p.m.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police received a 911 call from an elevator at 1:11 p.m. Dec. 1, but the elevator was being serviced and there was no emergency.

• Police were flagged down in the 600 block of 1st Street at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday to report a family member who was from another state and lost. Police located the subject in the 400 block of 3rd Street and reunited him with his family.

On Thursday:

• Police are investigating a suspect who reportedly stole from a residence in the 100 block of 3rd Street, at 8:24 a.m.

• Police responded to a report of a person locked out of a house in cold weather at 4:07 p.m. in the 800 block of 1st Street. Upon arrival, police made contact with the person's family who unlocked the house.
