MONROE POLICE

MONROE - Gary D. Harris, 66, Argyle, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Thursday for driving while intoxicated (second offense) after he struck a tree near the intersection of 23rd Street and 14th Avenue. After the accident, Harris fled the scene on foot before officers located him nearby. Harris was also cited for committing a hit-and-run and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration. He was released pending court.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Thursday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:05 p.m. after Jerry E. Davis, 76, Darlington, struck a deer in the W9500 block of Wisconsin 81, Town of Adams. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 7:39 p.m. after Bradyn D. Kriebs, 16, Blanchardville, struck a tree while attempting to avoid a deer on a driveway in the N7700 block of Marshall Bluff Road, Town of Exeter. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Thursday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:38 p.m. after Laverne W. Russell, 35, Mineral Point, struck a calf on County G, Town of Kendall. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 9:10 p.m. after Kelsey J. Fink, 22, Blanchardville, struck a deer on County N, Town of Blanchardville. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.
