Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3 p.m. Monday on Wis. 11/81 at County GG in Spring Grove township. Deputies report a vehicle operated by Nicholas G. Scheppele, 18, was traveling eastbound on Wis. 11/81 and indicating a turn onto County GG. Kevin G. Rasmussen, 36, was operating behind Scheppele and reported being unable to see brake lights or a turn signal. Rasmussen was unable to slow down in time, attempted to pass on the left, and sideswiped Scheppele. The crash caused severe damage to Scheppele's vehicle, which was towed from the scene. Rasmussen's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Brodhead police also responded.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 6:45 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Wis. 81 at Wis. 11 in Spring Grove township. Deputies report Ryan C. Quinn, 28, Beloit, slowed for a stop sign when he slid on a patch of ice, causing him to be unable to stop. He collided with a vehicle in front of him, operated by Karen E. Bhaskar, 44, South Beloit. Both vehicles received minor damage. Quinn was cited for operating too fast for conditions and released pending court.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 10:30 a.m. Monday in the N5000 block of Wis. 104, Albany township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by William G. Ruckert, 79, Beloit, slid through the intersection of County B and Wis. 104 and entered the west ditch. Ruckert was cited for operating while revoked. His vehicle was removed from the ditch by a towing service. The vehicle received no damage. Ruckert was released pending court.

Lafayette County

DARLINGTON - The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted with a hit and run accident at about 10 a.m. Dec. 29 on White School Road in Gratiot township.

• A vehicle driven by Jennifer Wolf, 34, Darlington, hit a deer at about 6:45 p.m. Dec. 29 on Wisconsin 23 in Willow Springs township.
