GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the W5200 block of County KK in Monroe township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Donald S. Luke, 30, Winslow, Ill., crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by Kevin L. Linak, 38, Monroe. Luke fled the scene with his vehicle and was located a short time later in the ditch on County KK near Radio Lane. Kevin Linak sustained injuries and was taken to Monroe Clinic. A passenger in the vehicle, Shelly M. Linak, 37, Monroe, sustained injuries but declined medical treatment. Luke was arrested for drunken driving causing injury, hit and run causing injury and driving without a driver's license. He was jailed. Both vehicles received extensive damage and were towed.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the W4000 block of Kammes Road in Exeter township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Courtney O. Powell, 33, Belleville, slid off the side of a private driveway and hit a tree. Powell sustained injuries but declined medical attention. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday in the W3800 block of Wisconsin 11. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Joshua C. Dohner, 33, Janesville, was passing a vehicle driven by Rick L. Steiner, 52, Argyle, when Dohner's vehicle spun in the road and hit Steiner's vehicle. The vehicles received moderate damage.

• Deputies are investigating a hit and run accident reported at about 7:45 a.m. Sunday on Blaser Drive in Belleville. Deputies report an unknown vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and went into a yard in the 200 block of Blaser Drive and hit a parked vehicle in the driveway. The unknown vehicle was driven from the scene. The parked vehicle received moderate damage

LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Wis. 23 in Willow Springs township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Colby Reichling, 18, Mineral Point, went into a ditch. Reichling was arrested for drunken driving, failure to report an accident, driving too fast for conditions, underage drinking and identification card violation. He was released pending court.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 2:15 a.m. Friday on Wis. 126. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Ben W. Schlappi, 22, Platteville, left the road, went into a ditch and overturned. Schlappi and his passenger, Daniel J. Wonders, 19, Mineral Point, were cited for seatbelt violations. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Brush Lane in Blanchard township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Samuel Warden, 35, Blanchardville, failed to negotiate a curve due to slippery road conditions and hit a tree.

• A vehicle driven by Phillip R. Norton, 48, Argyle, hit some debris in the road at about 4:15 a.m. Friday on Nall Road in Argyle township. The vehicle received minor damage.

NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 10 a.m. Wednesday on 14th Avenue near the Southside Mobile Home park. Police report a vehicle driven by Terry W. Calkins, 28, Janesville, attempted to drive up an uphill grade but was unable to because of the ice on the road. He backed up the vehicle and backed into a vehicle driven by D. Eileen Peppin, 73, New Glarus. The vehicles received minor damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Second Avenue near Second Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Loyd W. Smith, 38, New Glarus, backed into a parked vehicle owned by Brandon L. Legler, 33, New Glarus. The vehicles received minor to moderate damage.
