Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 5th Street and 11th Avenue. Dylan M. Cleaveland, 22, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a second vehicle driven by an 85-year-old woman from Darlington. Cleaveland was cited at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday for inattentive driving and was released pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Eugene B. Montgomery, 69, Evansville, was cited for driving while suspended and failure to notify police of an accident after employees of an auto shop doing repairs on Montgomery's vehicle notified law enforcement. Montgomery and his passenger were uninjured in a two-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 11 near Schuetz Road, Town of Clarno, at about 7 a.m. Montgomery was eastbound on Wis. 11 when his vehicle sideswiped a westbound semi tractor-trailer unit. Montgomery left the scene and attempted to have some repair work done on his vehicle. The semi unit was not located and the driver may be unaware of the crash. Montgomery's vehicle sustained severe driver-side damage.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Brian Champion, 44, Warren, Ill., reported hitting a deer with his vehicle on Wis. 11, Wayne Township, at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday.
