Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Two people received minor injuries in an ATV accident Saturday in the N3600 block of Hiawatha Road in the Town of York. At about 6:15 p.m. Saturday, the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room advised deputies a 13-year-old female was operating a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly on private property with a 12-year-old female passenger. The ATV was being driven up an incline when the ATV rolled ejecting both females. Both subjects received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the Monroe Clinic by private vehicle. The investigation revealed that neither juvenile was wearing a helmet, and no citations were issued.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:30 Sunday on County U, north of County O, in the Town of New Glarus. Deputies report Albert Lee Calderon, 22, New Glarus, was southbound on County U when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle entered the ditch where it overturned, coming to a rest on its roof. Speed and loose pea gravel are contributing factors to the crash. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Calderon was cited for failure to maintain control and was released pending court. Lynda S. Calderon, 56, New Glarus, was also cited at the scene for operating without a valid driver's license and for obstructing an officer by giving false information to a deputy. Lynda S. Calderon was released pending court. The New Glarus Police Department also responded to the vehicle crash.

• Deputies responded at about 11:24 p.m. Saturday to The Roller Den parking lot for a report of a hit-and-run to a parked vehicle. A Chevrolet van was struck and damaged by a vehicle that fled the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff's department.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 23 in Darlington township. Deputies report Ben J. Esspreis, 25, Breese, Ill., was southbound when his vehicle began to hydroplane. The vehicle traveled to the right shoulder where it struck a guardrail. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• Jessica L. Elzen, 29, Darlington, reported striking a deer at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday on Holland Road in Seymour township. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• Eddie D. Santiago, 30, Shullsburg, reported striking a deer at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
