Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Raif Islami, 69, and his passenger Sadet Islami, 61, both of Monroe, were injured in a two-vehicle accident reported at 1:39 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in the W3000 block of Wisconsin 11/81 in Sylvester Township. Raif Islami declined treatment on scene and Sadet Islami was transported by Green County EMS for treatment. Raif Islami was behind a westbound vehicle driven by Michael L. Reasa, 35, Monroe, when a deer ran into the road. Reasa braked to avoid hitting the deer and Islami was unable to avoid rearending him. Reasa reported no injuries. His vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene. The Islami vehicle was severely damaged and towed.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Aug. 26:

• Erin A. Spillane, 34, Shullsburg, reported no injuries at 6 a.m. from a deer vs. vehicle crash on Wis. 11 in New Diggings Township. Her vehicle was moderately damaged.

• A deputy assisted a motorist at 11:32 p.m. with a disabled vehicle on Wis. 11 in Benton Township. The Benton Fire Department was also called in after a tire on the semi trailer caught fire.
