Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in the N2900 block of Park Road. Deputies report a Green County Highway dump truck driven by Randall DeNure, 43, Monroe, was backing up to other equipment when it hit a Green County Highway pickup truck driven by Michael Hughes, 68, Monroe. The highway department was seal coating the road at the time of the accident. The pickup truck received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on the Cheese Country Trail in Gratiot township. Deputies report an ATV driven by Mark J. Caruana, 35, Machesney Park, Ill., left the trail and hit a rut. He was thrown from the ATV. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for injuries. Caruana was cited for driving an ATV while intoxicated.

• Brian A. Loeffelholz, 29, Platteville, was cited for failure to have his vehicle under control and failure to notify police of an accident following a one-vehicle accident at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on County Z in Darlington township. No further information was available.

• A vehicle driven by Billie Jean Gilbertson, 35, Argyle, hit a deer at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on Spore Road in Argyle township.
