NEW GLARUS

NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday on 5th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Doris M. Larson, 76, Blanchardville, hit a parked vehicle owned by Michael D. Hanson, Stoughton. Larson's vehicle received moderate damage. Hanson's vehicle received minor damage.

GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the N500 block of Green Valley Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Austin S. Wand, 18, Winslow, Ill., left the road and hit an embankment and a tree after Wand fell asleep. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Tabitha L. Kuppersmith, 28, Browntown, collided with a deer at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday on Honey Creek Road, south of Figi Road in Clarno township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - Joshua J. Persik, 24, Huburtus, was arrested for drunken driving and a seatbelt violation following a one-vehicle accident at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday on County F in Willow Springs township. Deputies report Persik's vehicle crossed the opposite lane of traffic, went into a ditch and overturned. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 6:15 a.m. Saturday on East Main Street in Shullsburg. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Steven J. Appel, 23, Shullsburg, hit a parked vehicle owned by James Byrne after Appel looked at a cell phone. Appel left the scene. He was cited for inattentive driving, driving after suspension and hit and run.

• A vehicle driven by Shawn T. Sigafus, 33, Blanchardville, hit a deer at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday on Wis. 78 in Argyle township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
