GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the N1700 block of County EE in the Town of Albany. Deputies report a vehicle had left the roadway, driven through a fence and came to a stop in a pond. The operator fled the scene. During the investigation, the owner of the car, Matthew R. Monte, 35, Blanchardville, was taken into custody on warrants issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department for failure to appear for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Monte was turned over to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department. The crash remains under investigation.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wisconsin 11 in the village of South Wayne. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Duane P. Curran, 50, Browntown, was pulling into a parking lot when a vehicle driven by Nicole L. Kloeper, 17, Browntown, was backing out of a parking stall and backed into the passenger door of Curran's vehicle.
