Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Washington Street and County S in Juda at 11:07 a.m. Saturday, March 31, after Keith M. Bennett, 38, Monroe, side-swiped a vehicle a driven by Brenda L. Phillips, 38, Juda. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

- Carl L. Saglie, 40, Beloit, reported no injuries at 7:36 p.m. Saturday, March 31, after he hit a deer on County EE. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

- Kala L. Booth, 21, New Glarus, was transported by Monroe EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER with injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash near the N2200 block of Cadiz Springs Road in the Town of Cadiz. Deputies responded to the crash at 8:59 p.m. Saturday, March 31, and an investigation revealed that driver Jeremy A. Kainz, 26, Monroe, lost control while negotiating a curve on Cadiz Springs Road south of Wisconsin 11, veered across the opposite lane and into a gravel driveway and hit a sign and several trees. The vehicle was severely damaged and driven from the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

- Jennifer L. Kitelinger, 29, Monroe, reported no injuries at 1:42 a.m. Sunday, April 1, after she hit a deer on Wis. 69 south of Wittenwyler Road. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported at 7:57 p.m. Sunday, April 1, after a pickup truck caught on fire in the N700 block of Oakley Road in the Town of Spring Grove. Deputies and the Juda Fire Department responded to the scene and discovered that Bryce C. Zettle, 17, Juda, was driving northbound when his pickup truck began to lose power and he saw a fire in the engine and a trail of transmission fluid behind the vehicle. The pickup truck was moderately damaged and towed from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Briana M. Hinzman, 20, Shullsburg, reported no injuries at 9:01 p.m. Friday, March 30, after she hit a deer on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Elk Grove. The vehicle was moderately damaged.

- Sandra Marie Schnee, 57, Dubuque, Iowa, reported no injuries at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, March 31, after she hit a deer on U.S. 151 in the Town of Kendall. The vehicle was moderately damaged.

- Dennis C. Johnson, 26, Gratiot, reported at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, April 1, that he hit a raccoon on County D in the Town of Lamont.

Stephenson County Sheriff

FREEPORT, Ill. - Stephanie Wise, 21, Dakota, was airlifted to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford for head injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 30 on Illinois 26 (Wis. 69) at McConnell Road. The other driver, Rebecca Niesman, 31, Freeport, and her passenger, Naomi Niesman, were transported by Leamons Ambulance to Freeport Memorial Hospital with injuries. Niesman was reportedly driving a 1998 Dodge Neon southbound on Ill. 26 when Wise drove a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier in front of her while turning left onto McConnell Road. The impact sent both vehicles into the ditch. The accident remains under investigation.
