Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday on County F near County OK in Decatur township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jose Antonio Santiago-Mercado, 20, Beloit, failed to negotiate a curve, went into a ditch and rolled twice. He and his passengers, Carlos A. Matamoros-Guardao, 18, and Carlos A. Torres-Franceschi, 30, both of Beloit, were taken to the Monroe Clinic for injuries. Santiago-Mercado was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and driving a vehicle by permittee with another person in the vehicle. He was released pending court. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:15 .m. Sunday on Wisconsin 81 near Klondike Road in Jordan township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Christopher R. Pfuhl, 20, Hollandale, swerved to avoid a deer and hit a mailbox. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:15 a.m. Friday on Wis. 81 in Lamont township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Mark M. Chambers, 47, Darlington, left the road, went into a ditch, hit a culvert and a cement foundation for a utility tower. Chambers told deputies he fell asleep. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for injuries he sustained in the crash. He was cited for inattentive driving. His vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:45 a.m. Friday on Wis. 81 in Argyle township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Roxann M. Bellerjeau, 19, Argyle, failed to negotiate a curve and went into a ditch. The vehicle received minor damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Daniel J. Wetter, 60, Hazel Green, hit a deer at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Redrock Road in Darlington township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Tyler L. Johnson, 61, Darlington, hit a deer at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday on County F in Darlington township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Jesse R. Wedige, 24, Belmont, hit a coyote at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Cottage Inn Road in Belmont township. The vehicle received minor damage.
