MONROE - On April 6:
Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 4:15 p.m. in the W2000 block of County EE in the Town of Albany. Stephen W. Eldred, 66, Monticello was westbound on County EE when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the ditch. Eldred was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene. Eldred was subsequently arrested for operating while intoxicated - (1st offense). He was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and operating left of center. Eldred was released pending court. Albany EMS and Albany Fire also responded.
On April 8:
Injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 7:39 a.m. in the N4600 block of County E in the Town of Albany. Sheridy J. Zimmerman, 39, Brodhead, was exiting a driveway attempting to turn north when she collided with a northbound vehicle operated by Ronald E. Grigsby, 57, Brodhead. Grigsby was not injured in the crash. Zimmerman was injured in the crash but declined medical attention. A passenger in Zimmerman's vehicle was identified as Tony E. Zimmerman, 43, Brodhead. Tony Zimmerman was injured in the crash but declined medical attention. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Sheridy Zimmerman was cited for failure to yield right of way from a non-highway access and was released pending court.
Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 11 a.m. in the W6500 block of Wis. 11 in Monroe. Matthew T. Seffrood, 36, Gratiot, was westbound on Wis. 11 and while negotiating a curve his vehicle left the road and struck an embankment. Seffrood's vehicle continued on where it struck a utility pole and then overturned coming to rest inside a pole shed. Seffrood was transported by EMS to the Monroe ER. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Seffrood was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Seffrood was released pending court. Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS also responded.
