Traffic Accident: October 13, 2011

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday on County F, near Decatur Road. Reports indicate that Alvin W. Wald, 61, Monroe, was traveling southbound on County F when a vehicle towing a trailer driven by Ronald M. Goodman, 55, Brodhead, hit the grader from behind. Goodman's trailer received severe damage to the right side and the truck received no damage in the crash. The grader received minor damage to the rear and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - David W. McDonald, 46, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on Roller Coaster Road in the Town of Darlington.

- A report was taken of a hit-and-run accident at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday on County F in the Town of Darlington. A pickup truck hit and damaged a mailbox; the truck was then seen leaving the area. The owner of the mailbox was able to recover a vehicle part that was left at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
