Monroe, WI/New Glarus, WI - Therese Yvonne Goecks, age 81, of Monroe and formerly New Glarus passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Monroe Manor. Therese was born on August 19, 1934 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. On March 9, 1957 she was united in marriage to Leroy Goecks. Therese worked for over twenty five years as a CNA at the New Glarus Home. She collected porcelain dolls, and was a movie buff especially enjoying Westerns and Thrillers. Therese also enjoyed trips to the casino in Dubuque with her best friend Sharon Knouse.

Therese is survived by her children Gail (Martin) Roach of Kearns, UT, Ann (Dave) Beach of New Glarus, WI, Linda (Leon) Logue of Janesville, WI, and Wayne (Diane) Goecks of New Glarus, WI, grandchildren Shannon Mathews of New Glarus, WI, Lisa (Ron) Pernot of Monroe, WI, David (Jackie) Beach of Brooklyn, WI, Tara Owen of New Glarus, Pamela (Curt Kohl) Roach of Kearns, UT, Shawn Roach of Kearns, UT, Megan (Chris) Olson of Belleville, WI, and Tonya Bentley of New Glarus, WI, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a brother Raymond Desroche of Massachusetts, and mother-in-law Gertrude Goecks of Monroe, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leroy, two sisters and four brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Avenue, New Glarus, WI with the Rev. Gene Talley officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Old York Cemetery.

A gathering of relatives and friends will precede the service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home in New Glarus.
