PEARL CITY, Ill. - Thelma Clouser, 94, of Pearl City, died on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI, where she has resided for the last 12 years.

Thelma was born on Sept. 12, 1914 in Stockton, the daughter of Louis and Lulu (Wingert) Polhill. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1932. On April 7, 1941, Thelma married Gerald Clouser at the Davis Methodist Church in Davis, IL.

Thelma worked for the Northwestern Telephone Company for 15 years in Pearl City. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearl City.

She is survived by her son John (Barbara) Clouser of Monroe; sister, Geraldine Kuhlmeyer of Pearl City, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in September of 1992; her parents, Louis and Lulu Polhill; sister, Bertha; brothers, Ralph, Earl, Wayne, Harlan, and Norris.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City, IL, with Rev. Ellis Boughton of the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Offenheiser-Schwarz Funeral Home in Pearl City.
