Terry A. "Kool-Aid" Broge

MONTICELLO - Terry A. "Kool-Aid" Broge, age 45 of Monticello, died from complications of a stroke on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at U.W. Hospital. Terry was born July 21, 965 in Monroe, the son of Edwin and Jeannette (Blum) Broge. He attended Monticello High School. Terry worked at Monroe Cheese Corp. in Monticello for several years and has owned and operated The Kooler Tavern in Monticello the past four years. He married Kari Jacobson on October 3, 2009 in Monticello. He was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with family and friends.

Terry is survived by his wife, Kari Broge of Monticello; a daughter, Danielle Broge of Champaign, IL; his mother, Jeannette Broge of Monticello; a brother, Dennis (Mary) Broge of New Glarus; and four sisters, Cheryl Fosler of West Salem, WI, Cathy (Jim) Grenzow of Sun Prairie, Cinda (Jim) Field, and Collette (Brett) Dinges, all of Monroe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1997 and a brother-in-law, Shirl Fosler.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010, at 6:00 p.m., at Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21 in Highland Cemetery, Monticello.
