MONTICELLO - Stanley A. Bowman, age 88 of Monticello passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the New Glarus Home. He was born on February 5, 1928 in the Town of Adams to his parents Selmar and Tina (Pederson) Bowman. Stanley attended the Meadow Brook School. On February 17, 1951 he was united in marriage to Madeline Ast at the Adams Lutheran Church. Stan farmed in the rural Monticello for many years and he also had worked for Erb Implement in New Glarus and Argyle Industries. He was a member of the Adams Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge 754 in Monroe. Stan was an avid hunter and was proud of his wall of fame. He also enjoyed playing cards and dancing. Stan was a very loving and proud husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Stan is survived by his wife Madeline, children Debra (Nate) Schoepfer, Kim (Lorene) Bowman, Keith (Teresa) Bowman, and Ranee (Darrell) Cory, grandchildren Jason (Stacey) Schoepfer, Bradley Schoepfer, Seth Cory, Sean Cory, Danielle (Jeff) Keller, Christopher (Danielle) Bowman, and Kyle (Sarah) Bowman, great-grandchildren Austin, Hunter, Aleah, Aiden, Abigail, Mercedes, Kimberly, and Austin. He is further survived by his sisters Donna (Don) Ott and Deanne (Dean) Signer, brother-in-law Willie Kolden, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Selmar Jr. and David, and sister Colleen Kolden.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Adams Lutheran Church, N7148 County Rd. A, Argyle WI with Pastor Rick Fry officiating with burial in the Adams Church Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Avenue, New Glarus, WI.
