Sonja A. Olson age 75 of Monticello, WI formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at her home. She was born December 5, 1939 in Monroe, WI the daughter of Jesse and Alma (Olson) Hanson. Sonja lived in Argyle where she attended school, and later lived in New Glarus before moving in with her niece Susan (Brian) Hoffmaster in Monticello, WI in 1996, where she has resided since. Sonja worked at GreenCo Industries from July 1991 to August of 2015.
Sonja is survived by one brother: Freeman (Irene) Hanson of Monroe; her special family: Susan (Brian) Hoffmaster and their children: Amanda (Will) Nolan, Katie (Todd) Peterson, Thor Crapp, Max Hoffmaster and grandchildren: Jack, Olivia, Alisha, Deacon and Josephine, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and six brothers: Roger, Richard, Jesse Jr., Olgar and Stanley, and Francis in infancy; and one sister: Hazel Flannery.
Sonja attended Primrose Lutheran Church in Belleville, WI. She always looked forward to going to work at GreenCo Industries where she could be with her friends. Sonja loved to bowl and fish in her younger years and challenging herself with puzzles. Sonja also enjoyed going to Badger Camp for many years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at Primrose Lutheran Church in Belleville, with Pastor Nicole Espe officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:30 until the time of the service at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family.
