Shelly L. Lillge Age 37 of Dakota, IL died on Monday, August 3, 2009 at her home after losing her battle with leukemia.

Shelly was born November 16, 1971 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Randy and Beverly (Ruch) Sargent. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1990. Shelly worked as a dispatcher for the South Beloit Police Dept. for several years before transferring to the Stephenson County Sheriff's Dept. in 1999.

Shelly and Jeff Lillge were married on Feb. 19, 2005 at the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, IL.

She dearly loved her family, enjoyed stock car racing, and was an avid Harry Potter fan.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Lillge of Dakota; six children, Kaitlyn Cromwell, Tyler Cromwell, both of Dakota, Gina Wenger of Davis, IL, Holly Wheeler of Loves Park, IL, and Brook and Dana Lillge of Dakota; three grandchildren, Ivan and Helen Wenger, and Addison Wheeler; her parents, Randy and Bev Sargent of Monroe; two sisters, Kimberly (Brian) Hartfield of Beloit, Angela Cromwell of Mindoro, WI; four brothers, John (Stacy) Cromwell of Beloit, Jim Sargent , Tim Sargent, both of South Beloit, IL, and Fred Cromwell of Portage, WI; maternal grandmother, Gertrude Noble of Janesville, WI; paternal grandmother, Leone Sargent of South Wayne; aunts and uncles, Beatrice Wiss of Wyoming, John A. (Sandy) Ruch of Nebraska, Gene Sargent of Warren, Il, Marlene Sargent of Roscoe, IL, Janet Sargent of Warren, Dick (Shirley) Noble of Janesville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Ruch; paternal grandfather, Donald Sargent; step-grandfather, John Noble; and an uncle, Tom Sargent.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 1329 31st. Ave., Monroe. Rev. Lyle Babcock of the Richland Free Methodist Church, Freeport, will officiate with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in Shelly's name.
