Roumaine F. Holland Sr., age 85, of Monroe, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the V.A. Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 24, 1932 in Stockton, Illinois, the son of Paul and Lola (Bunker) Holland. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1950.

He served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955.

Roumaine married Victoria Galaviz in 1955, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Roumaine was a dairy farmer in the Argyle area, retiring in 1990. After he retired he worked at Swiss Colony and Prairie Hill Cheese factory.

He is survived by 5 children: Roland (Kendra) Holland of Rincon GA, Roumaine (Kathy) Holland Jr. of New Glarus,, William (Teresa) Holland of Monroe, Daniel (Jody) Holland of Argyle, and Debra Lelle of Monroe; a daughter-in-law, Jill Melland; grandchildren: Jeremi Alexander, Shelly Alexander, Jason (Ginny) Holland, Jaclyn (Brett) Macy, Dennis (Kevin) Holland, Ashley (Jesse) Holland-Donahue, Benjamin Voss, Kathleen Voss, Angela (Tony) Wiemiller, Kelly (Will) Grohler, Brandon (Korin) Beckwith, Daniel (Sarah) Holland II, Brittney (Brett) Newman, Chelsea (Adam) Tillis, Randy (Brooke Adams) Melland, Amanda Melland, Olivia Melland, great-grandchildren: Noah, Emme, Clara, Tanner, Brooklyn, Trevor, Johnny, Liam, Reese, Everly, Jaiden, Bryson, Ainsley, Westley, Landon, Ady, Haddie, Bentley and Madden; 2 brothers: Haldean (Lynn) Holland of Leesburg, FL and Merton (Sharon) Holland of Lena, IL, a sister, Maelinda Bolen of Stockton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Randall, daughter, Gloria Doherty; and sisters, Waynette Costello and Madalene Holland in infancy; son-in-law, Thomas Lelle.

Private family services will be held at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home.
