BRODHEAD - Rosemary Mae Stuck, age 80, of Brodhead, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She was born on April 19, 1930 in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Carl A. and Dorothy (Helsell) Burwitz. Her first marriage was to Claude L. Coleman on May 1, 1948. She then married Calvin E. Stuck on March 21, 1959 in River Grove, IL.

Rosemary graduated from Beloit High School and while living in Beloit, worked for Freeman Shoe Co. She then moved to Chicago, where she worked for Sears. She also had lived in Bellewood, IL, Broadview, IL, Marengo, IL, prior to moving to Brodhead in 1991. She was a member of the Hilltop Community Church, Albany, Brodhead Garden Club, VFW Auxiliary, "Angel Collectors Club of America," Adoring Heartland Angels, Chapter of ACCA, and was a volunteer at the Albany Thrift Store.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin, Brodhead; two sons, Rick (Ann) Stuck, Gastonia, NC, Stephen Stuck, Chicago, IL; three brothers, Carl Burwitz, Chisago, MN, Bernard (Annie) Burwitz, Beloit, WI, Ronald (Connie) Burwitz, Baileyville, IL; two sisters, Diane (Mike) Martin, Mt. Carroll, IL, Judy (Glen) Weems, Baileyville, IL; sisters-in-law, Lois Zorn-Tearman, Monroe, WI, Claudia Knepper, Green Bay, WI; four grandchildren, Tony, Charity, Jonathan, Christina; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including Bruce (Karen) Zorn, Martin (Darla) Zorn, Stephanie Zorn, Dan (Cindy) Knepper and Paul (Cathy) Knepper. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Claude; a sister, Linda Pfile; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Burwitz; and a grandson, Ricky.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the Hilltop Community Church, Albany, with Pastor Rick Gleason officiating. Burial will be in Cranes Grove Cemetery, rural Freeport, IL. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI.
