Roscoe R. Kline, age 82 of Browntown, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Roscoe was born May 30, 1929 in Cadiz Township, the son of Donald and Cecelia (Harvey) Kline.

He graduated from Winslow, IL High School in 1946 and married Reva Herfel on February 18, 1950 at St. Victor Catholic Church, Monroe. He was a lifelong farmer in Cadiz Township and also worked for 30 years as a mechanic at Monroe Auto Sales/Alphorn Ford and Dearth Motors before retiring.

He was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church, Yesteryear Auto Club, enjoyed watching NASCAR and restoring antique classic cars to originality.

He is survived by his wife, Reva Kline of Browntown; a daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Parkinson of Blanchardville; two sons, Kurt (Lorie) Kline and Kraig Kline, both of Monroe; five grandchildren, Amy Kline (Tee-Jay) of New Port Richey, FL, Kelly (Bobby) Davis of Freeport, Ann Kline of Monroe, Danny Parkinson of Blanchardville, and Celia Kline of Monroe; four great-grandchildren, Mikaela, Torianna, Blayr, and Hazel; and two sisters, Carole Peterson of Brodhead and Janice Sedwick of Janesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Kline; and a brother, Donnie Kline.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Father Michael Klarer, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Cadiz Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, on Monday from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
