Ronald Lee Champion age 73 of Shulllsburg, WI born July 19, 1941 passed away February 5, 2015 at his home with his "Loving Three Daughters" at his side. Ronnie graduated from Benton High School. He married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Komprood on August 11, 1962 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg. Ronnie retired from John Deere Dubuque Works in 2001. In his 42 years working, he missed only two days of work due to weather to provide for his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Ron loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Council Number 1501, Shullsburg WI.

Elizabeth (Bobby) Mosley, Victoria Hicks, Aaron Hicks, Madison Wymore and Nicholas Wymore, Angela Champion, Juliana Champion, Douglas Champion, Nicole Champion, Paige Champion, Dexter Ray, Payton Ray; great-grandchildren: Carson, Berlyn, Owen, Lailah, Parker, Preston, Arabella, Rigley, Kayden, Malaya, Aurora; brothers: Robert (Gail) Champion, Roscoe, IL; Richard (Paula) Champion, Fennimore, WI; and his dear sister, Ruth Ellen Donar, Cuba City, WI. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents: Anita and Arnold Champion; parents-in-law: Betty and Curtiss Komprood; brother-in-law: David John Komprood; brother: Albert Champion; and loving son, Timothy Alan Champion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 344 North Judgement Street, Shullsburg, WI, with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be at St. Matthew Cemetery in Shullsburg. A visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at O'Flahrity-Erickson Funeral Home, 235 Judgement Street, Shullsburg, WI with a Rosary Prayer Service and Memorial Adorations at 7:30.
