ORANGEVILLE - Roland L. Wuthrich, age 82, passed away at his home after a short illness on Wednesday October 5, 2011. He was born on October 8, 1928 to Simon and Helen (Barker) Wuthrich in Stephenson County. He married Rose Marty on January 24, 1952 in Dubuque, IA. She preceded him in death on October 7, 1993.

Roland attended school in Oneco and then went to work as a roofer for Durfee in Monroe, WI. He served his country in the Army National Guard. In 1953 he started farming until retiring in 1973. He then returned to roofing for several more years. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and fishing. He also drove School Bus for the Orangeville School District.

He is survived by 2 sons; Russell (Penny) Wuthrich of Monroe, WI and Ross Wuthrich of Fredericksburg, Va. 4 Grandchildren; Ryan Wuthrich of Monroe, WI, Rhonda Fields, Heather Lelock and Natalie Moreno all of Fredericksburg, VA. 5 Great Grandchildren; 1 sister; Lois Rabe of Lena, IL, 3 brothers; Donald (Olive) Wuthrich of Rockford, IL, Gene (Alta) Wuthrich of Orangeville, IL and Glen (Joann) Wuthrich of Montello, WI. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife and 1 brother; Marvin Wuthrich in 1985.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 10, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home, Orangeville, IL.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Officiating will be Pastor Randy Nicholas.

Burial will be in the Orangeville Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
