STOUGHTON/BRODHEAD - Roger Elmer Braun, age 57, of Stoughton, formerly of Brodhead, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was born on September 20, 1951 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Elmer and Frances (Hexom) Braun.

Roger was a hydro-geologist, spending most of his time in Montana and Idaho before moving back to Wisconsin. He was also a carpenter, enjoying remodeling and building. Roger was a warm-hearted and caring person.

He is survived by two daughters, Victoria and Rachel Braun, McFarland, WI; step-mother, Pat Braun, Brodhead; a sister, Linda Preston, New Glarus, WI; a brother, Ronald (Vivienne) Braun, Brodhead; a special friend, Casey Garhart, Madison; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Delvis.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, with Pastor Ronald E. Massen officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
