Robert Treuthardt, Sr., age 82 of Monroe, died on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on December 2, 1929, the son of David and Lydia (Leibungut) Treuthardt. Robert and Gloria Erickson were married on October 9, 1952 at the York Memorial Lutheran Church in Blanchardville. He entered the U.S. Army in December of 1952 and was honorably discharged in December of 1954, serving in an Anti Aircraft Artillery Battalion. Robert farmed with his wife Gloria in Clarno Township the greater part of his life. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Surviving is his wife, Gloria Treuthardt of Monroe; daughters, Susan (Mark) Langbehn of New Glarus, and Sherri (Dan) Barrett of Monticello; sons, Robert (Heidi) Treuthardt, Jr.; and Paul (Julie) Treuthardt, all of Monroe; grandchildren, Shawn (Priscilla) Langbehn, Christopher (Julia) Langbehn, Jeremy (Ashley Smith) Treuthardt, Emily Treuthardt, Layne Treuthardt, and Colsyn Treuthardt; great-grandchildren, Mark Langbehn, Ella Langbehn, Addilyn Treuthardt, and Forrest Treuthardt; siblings, John (Rose) Treuthardt, Emil (Cathy) Treuthardt, Walt Treuthardt, Carl (Margie) Treuthardt, Fritz Treuthardt, Mary (Bill) Mitchell and Henry (Chris) Treuthardt; and also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Louie, David and Frank.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. William T. Mike Heath officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe with Military Rites. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the Church.
