VERONA - Robert "Bob" F. Torregrossa, age 74, of Verona, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. He was born on Aug. 20, 1938, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., the son of the late Frank and LaVerne (Summers) Torregrossa. He married Carol Marr on Aug. 16, 1958, in Waukegan, Ill. Bob was a truck driver for 23 years. He loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports. Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Lori (Bill) Moynihan; and son, Mark (Lisa) Torregrossa; and four grandchildren, John, Christopher, Amanda, and Matt. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, with the Rev. Mark Yurs presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
