Raymond H. Van Natta, age 74 of Monroe, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at Azura Memory Care, Monroe. Raymond was born November 12, 1939 in Lancaster, WI, the son of LaVern and Alice (Louthaine) Van Natta.

He graduated from Lancaster High School and served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 16 years. Ray moved to Colorado where he worked as a hunting guide from 1978 until moving to Monroe in 2006.

He loved the outdoors, rebuilding cars, hunting, fishing, and built a log cabin in which he lived for several years.

He is survived by a son, Rick (Sue) Van Natta of Lancaster; two daughters, Terri Dampier and fiance Jerry Dahlen of Monroe, and Tamara (Terry) Huttenlocher of Warren, IL; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Mary) Van Natta of Westby, WI; and two sisters, June (Edward) Knutson of Lancaster, and Darlene (Lynn) Carpenter of Platteville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Raymond Van Natta Jr. in 1994.

A visitation to celebrate his life will be at a later date at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe.
