CUBA CITY - Ralph L. Mau, 73, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at Agrace Hospice Care in Madison, Wisconsin. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m.Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church before the service.

Ralph was born on January 31, 1939, in Gratiot Township, Wisconsin, the son of Laverne and Leona (Uppman) Mau. He married Sandra Marie Hawkinson on February 11, 1961, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gratiot. Ralph's entire life was dedicated to his dairy farm east of Cuba City. After retirement he drove for Tri State Auto Auction and Harstad Auto Sales.

Ralph loved trips to casinos, playing cards and enjoying his family. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra; three sons, Todd (Penny) Mau, of Nelson, Wisconsin, and Rodney (Alison) Mau, and Lee Mau, both of Cuba City; three sisters, Rose Rundle, Margie (Denny) Goldman, and Margaret (Laverne) Gordee, all of Monroe; six brothers, Paul (Joyce) Mau, of Gratiot, George (Debbie) Mau, of Monroe, Jimmy Mau and Jon (Bonnie) Mau, both of South Wayne, Mike (Debbie) Mau, of Argyle, and Steve (Cindy) Mau, of South Wayne; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Logan Mau; a sister, Mary Herfel; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Alice Hawkinson; a sister-in-law, Judy Hawkinson; and two brothers-in-law, Gary Hawkinson and David Rundle; and three nephews.
