Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - The City of Darlington Police Department has launched a new Facebook page. Find it at www..facebook.com/DarlingtonPolice. By 'Liking' the page, anyone can receive updates from police. The department intends to use the social networking site as another means of keeping in touch with area residents, as well as educating them about safety issues and about activities officers are engaged in.

Monroe Police

MONROE - On Monday, Sept. 3:

- Jeremy J. Hunter, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (second offense) following a traffic stop at 1:44 a.m. in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West. He was released pending court.

- A gas drive-off of $6 was reported at 10:10 a.m. at Kundert Oil, 317 8th St.

- Andrew L. Conley, 49, Monroe, was cited for driving with a revoked license and driving without vehicle insurance following a three-vehicle collision at about 2:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of 16th Avenue. Conley struck a vehicle driven by Kenneth C. Schwal, 52, Comanche, Iowa, and then struck a vehicle driven by Mark W. McNett, 60, Monroe. There was minor damage to the vehicles, and one person complained of a minor injury. McNett was also cited for driving without vehicle insurance.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Lavelle T. Connor-Hatchet, 23, New Glarus, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license at 8:29 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, on Wisconsin 69 at Guzmer Road.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Theodore A. Bauer, 34, South Wayne, was taken into custody at a residence on Fritzges Road in the Town of Wayne at 11:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on a warrant issued by the Department of Corrections for a probation violation.

- Johnathon D. Eicher, 21, Monroe, was arrested during a traffic stop on County K in the Town of Gratiot at 7:46 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, on a warrant issued by Lafayette County. He posted bond and was released. The driver of the vehicle, Jacob R. Holverson, 21, Browntown, was cited for operating left of center. Another passenger, Matthew B. Austin, 23, Monroe, was cited for a seatbelt violation.

- Scott W. Bartosik, 54, South Wayne, was arrested and jailed on a probation violation following a traffic stop on the Cheese Country Trail in South Wayne at 6:22 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3. He was also cited for operating an ATV on the road.

- Tina R. Ubersox, 24, Blanchardville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a resiadence on Main Street in Blanchardville at 10:18 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3. She was jailed.

- Jesse D. Shrank, 19, Salem, was cited for speeding at 4:18 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- William J. Guthrie, 49, Kenosha, was cited for speeding at 4:34 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- George V. Jester, 49, Midlothian, Ill., was cited for speeding at 4:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- Larry L. Underhill, 45, Beloit, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 5:09 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- Matthew J. Parsons, 24, Beetown, and Allen J. Penewell, 18, Darlington, were cited after deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and occupants in a business parking lot on Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove at 5:20 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. Both men were passengers in the vehicle. The driver and another passenger were not cited. Parsons was cited for having open intoxicants in the vehicle and procuring intoxicants for a minor. Penewell was cited for underage drinking. The vehicle had a flat tire, and was driven from the area after the tire was changed.

- Bret M. Merz, 20, Oak Creek, was cited for speeding at 7:06 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

- Timothy L. Behrens, 23, Franksville, was cited for speeding at 7:32 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

- Robert A. Bocklund, 66, Monroe, was cited for driving with a revoked license and speeding at 4:59 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

- Nicholas E. Oldenburg, 21, Beloit, was cited for speeding at 5:08 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Seymour.

- John A. Pauley, 51, Indianola, Iowa, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:46 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- Jade A. Peterson, 24, Mineral Point, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 12:01 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- Amber M. McNulty, 31, Beloit, was cited for speeding and driving without vehicle insurance at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot. A passenger in the vehicle, Jose C. Romero, 29, also of Beloit, was cited for having open intoxicants in the vehicle.

- Caleb L. Gilbertson, 19, Winslow, Ill., was cited for speeding at 6:02 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.

- Brandon J. Drafall, 27, Juda, was cited for unsafe backing of a vehicle after he hit a vehicle owned by Shullsburg Auto while backing his pickup truck into a parking spot on Main Street in Gratiot at 6:21 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2. No injuries were reported from the accident. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

- Joshua M. Mau, 23, South Wayne, was cited on Sheldon Street in Gratiot for not having an ATV safety certification at 8:01 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.

- Bryan E. Whitehead, 24, Elgin, Ill., was cited for passing in a no-passing zone on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Darlington at 11:16 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3.

- Martha A. Hudon, 23, Geneva, Ill., was cited for speeding at 5:34 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Seymour.

- The theft of a cement lawn ornament from a residence on County H in the Town of Elk Grove was reported at 8:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31. The ornament was taken sometime during the previous night.

- A burglary at a business on Old Q Road in Argyle was reported at 8:48 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31.

- Criminal damage to property on South Galena Road in the Town of Elk Grove was reported at 12:53 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. A cornfield had been damaged when an unknown person drove a vehicle through it. A similar incident was reported again in the same area at 12:17 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.

- At 6:53 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, a deputy checked the welfare of a male found sleeping in the ditch on County U in the Town of Shullsburg and gave him a ride to a nearby residence.
