Monroe Police

MONROE - On Monday, Sept. 24:

• Michael L. Santoro, 19, Monroe, was cited for underage drinking (third offense) and criminal damage to property after police responded at 4:57 a.m. to a complaint of people being loud and disorderly in a residence in the 2400 block of 17th Avenue. Santoro reportedly punched a glass window, injuring his hand.

• Devin J. Kloepfer, 19, Monroe, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 10:06 p.m. in the 2700 block of 3rd Avenue. A K-9 sniffed out a suspected glass smoking device.

• Police were called at 11:23 a.m. to Monroe Middle School, 1510 13th St., to assist with ejecting a 12-year-old male student who became aggressive and was throwing things at school staff. The boy was turned over to a family member. Police referred the incident to Green County Juvenile Intake.

• A 15-year-old Monroe girl was cited for underage possession of tobacco and referred to Juvenile Intake on a theft charge after police investigated a report at 3:27 p.m. of a theft of cash from a purse at Green Haven Family Advocates, 1811 11th St.

• The theft of binoculars valued at $270 was reported at 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of Willow Way. The resident told police the binoculars were taken out of an unlocked vehicle parked at the residence on about Sept. 20.

• A women's purse was found at 7:03 p.m. in the men's restroom at Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave. Police were able to return the purse to its owner, who said it was stolen out of a vehicle a day earlier. A minor amount of cash was missing from the purse.

• A parolee recently released from prison reported at 7:43 p.m. that his victim was driving past his residence near the intersection of 15th Avenue and 9th Street and harassing him by squealing the tires. Police are investigating and will advise the person to knock it off.

• A set of keys was found in Garden Deli, 1624 11th St., and turned over to police at 8:46 p.m. To claim, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

• Police assisted a resident in the 2500 block of 11th Street with shooing an opossum out of a garage with a broom at 9:12 p.m.

• Susan A. Monson, 45, Winslow, Ill., was cited for inattentive driving after police responded at 7:44 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, to a three-car accident with no injuries in the 1500 block of 9th Street. Monson collided with a vehicle driven by Wayne E. Gille, 64, Monroe. Gille's vehicle was then pushed into a vehicle driven by Sandra R. Lara, 38, Monroe.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Ashley N. Daniels, 26, Juda, was arrested at 4:19 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, after deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense on Wisconsin 69 at 8th Street in Monroe. Daniels was jailed on a warrant issued by the Albany Police Department for contempt of court/failure to pay a fine on a citation for drug paraphernalia possession. She posted bond and was released.

• Philip D. Hoffman, 28, Monroe, was arrested at the Green County Justice Center at 9:22 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, on a warrant issued by Green County for failure to pay child support. He was jailed.

• Raul Velazco-Sanjuan, 24, Beloit, was cited for driving with a revoked license and without vehicle insurance at 3:49 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the W400 block of Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Spring Grove.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jon J. Gobrecht, 29, Shullsburg, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 8:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on West Estey Street in Shullsburg. He later posted bond and was released.

• A deputy took custody at 11:20 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, of unwanted ammunition found in a residence on County W in the Town of White Oak Springs.

• Alejandro Gonzalez, 19, Darlington, was arrested on charges of driving without a license, driving with a suspended vehicle registration and without vehicle insurance at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, on Galena Street in Darlington. He posted bond and was released.

• A deputy investigated a complaint of illegal dumping of waste materials on Union Grove Lane in the Town of Darlington at 9:42 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25.
