BRODHEAD - For the week of Sunday, Sept. 13, to Saturday, Sept. 19, there were 161 calls for service, 44 citizen assists, 29 security checks, 18 registrations, eight agency assists, seven traffic stops, five 911 calls, five EMS calls and three fire calls.
On Sunday:
Police responded at 4:07 p.m. to a report of a person yelling in the 1000 block of 12th Street. Contact was made at residences in the area and no disturbances were located.
A 27-year-old Stoughton man was cited for driving with a suspended license at 5:28 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
Trespassing was reported at 6:19 p.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police warned a juvenile to stay off the property.
On Monday:
A 34-year-old Footville man was arrested at 12:12 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections after a traffic stop for an expired registration. He was jailed in Monroe.
Police and the Brodhead Water and Light utility responded at 5 p.m. to the 500 block of West 2nd Avenue for a report of a transformer that had gone out with lines down. Police remained on scene while the line was removed and power was restored.
A domestic disturbance between father and son was reported at 5:51 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 3rd Avenue. They were able to resolve the issue between themselves.
On Tuesday:
A 20-year-old Footville man was cited for speeding at 3:01 a.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street.
A 61-year-old Janesville man was cited at 4:13 p.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue for unsafe passing on the right after a motor vehicle crash.
On Wednesday:
People yelling profanities in the area of the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue was reported at 11:59 a.m. Police made contact with the male and female subjects involved and issued verbal warnings for disorderly conduct.
On Thursday:
A gas drive-off was reported at 1:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police made contact with the subject, and they returned to pay for the gas, advising that it was just an oversight.
Trespassing was reported at 4:08 p.m. in the 700 block of 11th Street. Police are still seeking the people seen running from the property.
A gas drive-off was reported at 5:17 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police made contact with the subject, and they returned to pay for the gas.
On Friday:
At 4:56 p.m., police warned people who started a campfire in the 1100 block of 11th Street that it was a burning violation.
Arson of a storage shed was reported at 7:03 p.m. in the 700 block of 11th Street. Police are seeking to question a person who left the property before police arrived on scene.
Disorderly conduct at a Brodhead High School football game was reported at 9:28 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Police are investigating a report that one person struck another at the game.
On Saturday:
A 25-year-old Madison woman was cited for speeding at 6:16 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue.
A 41-year-old Albany woman was cited for issuance of worthless checks in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue, stemming from a case from
May 2.
A 66-year-old Beloit man was cited for issuance of worthless checks in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue, stemming from a case from May 18.
A 41-year-old Albany woman was cited for issuance of worthless checks in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue, stemming from a case from July 1.
Monroe Police
MONROE - Jason L. McKee, 42, Monroe, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer at about 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, related to a disturbance at Papa Don's Horseshoe Saloon, 1901 10th Ave. A criminal complaint filed in Green County Circuit Court indicates that McKee yelled and argued with other patrons, pushed his beer bottle across the bar "in an aggressive manner" and, after he was asked to leave and not return, threatened the Horseshoe Saloon's employees and customers. He also allegedly struggled, pushed and kicked as two officers arrested him outside the bar and put him in a squad car. McKee was jailed. At his initial appearance Tuesday, Sept. 22, he had his signature bond set at $1,000 with conditions that he not drink or have contact with the Horseshoe Saloon. He has a pre-trial conference Dec. 1.

MONROE - On Monday, Sept. 21:
Tina S. Fritsch, 55, Belleville, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 11:48 a.m. in the N9000 block of County D, Town of Exeter.
Kyle M. Broge, 27, Orangeville, was cited for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia after deputies checked on a vehicle with its hazard lights flashing at 7:24 p.m. on Wisconsin 69 at Harper Road, Town of Washington. The driver, identified as Broge, told deputies he had run out of gas. The Monroe Police Department K-9 team assisted at the scene.

A deputy responded to a report of a civil dispute at 12:15 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.
A deputy assisted the Green and Rock County sheriffs' offices with delivering an emergency message at 6:35 a.m. to an individual on Glenville Road, Town of Shullsburg.
A deputy responded to check the welfare of a person at 8:05 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.
Deputies responded to a report of harassment at 8:24 a.m. on Lancaster Road, Town of Lamont.
A deputy responded at 10:17 a.m. to a 911 hang-up call on 3rd Avenue in Benton.
